Juba, South Sudan - 9th April 20226 - Former Kator FC head coach Nicola Peter Orat has opened up on the reasons behind his resignation, pointing to a breakdown in relations with the club’s new administration.

In an interview conducted by Hatrick 24 and monitored by Sports Hunter South Sudan, Orat said he felt undervalued and disrespected by members of the newly appointed steering committee.

“The reason for the resignation is the new administration. The newly appointed people did not give me my value and were not respecting me,” he said.

The coach, who had initially chosen to remain silent, confirmed he decided to speak publicly to clarify his position.

“I had opted not to discuss what happened, but today I’m talking in the media.”

Orat stepped down shortly after Kator’s draw with Lion Hunters FC in the South Sudan Premier League — a match that saw him face his curren side.

Background

Kator FC’s steering committee officially accepted Orat’s resignation on March 26, confirming his exit from the Juba-based club after a challenging period marked by internal administrative changes.

Despite his frustrations, Orat paid tribute to Kator’s previous administration for their support during his tenure.

“I thank the former administration. They stood with me through many challenges, including our CECAFA journey.”

He also singled out former secretary Robert for special appreciation.

“He treated me very well — the best treatment. Together with his team, they managed the club for a long time and supported me fully.”

Reflecting on his time at the club, Orat left the final verdict to the public.

“It’s up to the football lovers to judge whether I added something to Kator FC or not.”

His comments shed light on internal challenges within the club’s leadership, highlighting the impact of administrative changes on technical stability.
