DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania — The delegation of the South Sudan U-17 Women’s National Team is already on its way to the airport, less than three hours after suffering a 7-0 defeat to Kenya in the third-place playoff match of the CECAFA U-17 Women’s Championship at the KMC Stadium today tuesday. The Junior Bright Starlets are expected to depart Tanzania at 10:00 p.m. local time tonight , marking the end of their regional campaign. South Sudan's campaign in the regional tournament came to an end following the loss to Kenya, as the team missed out on a podium finish after reaching the third-place playoff. Despite the disappointing result, the tournament provided valuable international exposure and competitive experience for the young South Sudanese side as they continue their development on the regional stage.
