Madagascar booked their place in the CHAN 2024 final after a dramatic 1-0 extra-time victory over Sudan on Monday.

The match remained goalless after 90 minutes, with Madagascar reduced to ten men when Fenohasina Razafimaro was sent off in the 79th minute, just four minutes after picking up his first yellow card.

Despite the setback, the Barea held firm and found the breakthrough in the 116th minute.

Toky Rakotondraibe tapped home the decisive goal with his left foot following a brilliant cross from Lalaina Rafanomezantsoa inside the box.

Building on their impressive bronze-medal debut in CHAN 2022, Madagascar will now face the winner of Senegal and Morocco in the final at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani  in Nairobi

on 30th August 2025, eyeing their first-ever continental title.
