Al Merrikh SC from Sudan has announced that their left-back, Dia Wah Mickaël, nicknamed “The Great,” who holds dual citizenship, has decided to represent Chad instead of Ivory Coast in the upcoming FIFA World Cup African qualifiers.

Chad will face Ghana on September 4th at N'Djamena’s Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, before traveling to Casablanca to play against Madagascar at Stade Larbi Zaouli four days later.

Currently, Chad sits at the bottom of Group I, with 0 points after suffering six consecutive defeats. The team has scored only one goal while conceding 15 goals, making these upcoming fixtures crucial for their first victory in the qualifiers.
