CAF Hosts Inaugural IMPACT Strategic Roundtable in Kampala

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially launched the first-ever CAF IMPACT Programme Strategic Roundtable Workshop in Kampala, Uganda, running from 24 to 29 August 2025 on the sidelines of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) PAMOJA 2024 co-hosted by Uganda and Kenya.

The landmark initiative brings together all 54 Presidents of CAF Member Associations and their General Secretaries to strengthen financial governance, promote youth competitions, and drive impactful community outreach. 

The CAF IMPACT Programme is designed to enhance transparency and accountability in the use of CAF development funds while supporting sustainable growth and competitiveness of African football.

Representing South Sudan at the workshop are Francis Amin, President of the South Sudan Football Federation, and Victor Lawrence, General Secretary of the (SSFF).

According to CAF Director of Member Associations, Sarah Mukuna, the workshop reflects CAF’s strong commitment to empowering football leaders across the continent:

“This CAF IMPACT workshop is the first of its kind, bringing Presidents and their administrative teams together to work practically on strengthening governance and impact. It reflects CAF’s commitment to equipping our leaders with the tools to make African football globally competitive and self-sustaining.”

The sessions will focus on the rights and duties of Member Associations, reporting standards, and safeguards to prevent misuse of CAF funds, reinforcing collaboration across Africa while highlighting a shared commitment to advancing African football globally.
