Munuki SC Reach Agreement with Coach Kayanga John for Head Coach Role
Juba – Juba Football Association side Munuki Sports Club has reached a principal agreement with Coach Kayanga John to take over as the club’s new head coach.
In an exclusive interview with Sports Hunter South Sudan held recently in Juba, the club’s secretary Richard George confirmed the deal, noting that only final paperwork remains before an official announcement is made.
“I am just here to confirm our agreement with Coach Kayanga John. The club has reached a principal agreement with him. We have agreed on a 2-year contract. The only thing remaining is to finalize the paperwork, then maybe within the weekend the club will announce the new head coach,” said Richard George.
While confirming the deal, the club opted to keep the financial terms of the agreement confidential.
Coach Kayanga is set to replace former head coach Khamis Rahal (Wilson), who recently joined Al Ghazala Wau, a newly promoted side in the South Sudan Premier League.
The incoming coach joins the "Snakes" from Premier League side Kator FC, where he served for one year as an assistant coach under Coach Nicolas Peter Orat. He also brings previous head coaching experience from JFA 3rd Division side Al Tahadi.
Coach Kayanga John will be tasked with the responsibility of guiding Munuki SC to the South Sudan Premier League, their latest success came in 2021–2022 when they crowned the Juba Football Association First Division League champions.
