Official Exit After One Season

Kator Football Club has officially confirmed the departure of Assistant Coach Kayanga John after one season with the club. Speaking exclusively to Sports Hunter South Sudan on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the club's Secretary General, Robert Ohiya, confirmed Kayanga’s exit.

“Kayanga John has given us an official letter two days ago. He was our assistant coach, but right now he has disengaged himself from being an assistant coach,” said Ohiya.

He further revealed that Kayanga has already joined another club. “He has been already contracted by Munuki SC as I speak.”

A Key Contributor to Kator’s Success

Kayanga served as assistant to Head Coach Nicola Peter Orat, focusing on match analysis and strategy. His contribution was instrumental in guiding Kator FC to a second-place finish in the inaugural South Sudan Premier League, just behind unbeaten champions Jamus SC.

“It is very unfortunate as a club because Kayanga has been one of the instrumental coaches in the team. His tactical experience, his love, and his commitment will actually be missed,” Ohiya added.

Hopes for a Future Return

While the club is parting ways with Kayanga for now, Ohiya remains optimistic that the coach might return to Kator FC, popularly known as Lobera, in the future.

“He is going, and we confirm to the people he is going to Munuki SC in Konyokonyo League, and he has actually taken a decision, and we accepted as a club to let him go and prepare himself ahead. We know football — you go and you come — and we expect maybe in sometime he may come to the club and give better services, as we wish him all the best.”
