Juba, South Sudan – August 27, 2025 — South Sudan Premier League side Kator FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Future Stars Football Academy (FSFA) in a dramatic friendly match played Wednesday morning at the Juba National Stadium.

The only goal of the game came early in the second half, courtesy of Oyedola David, after a tightly contested and goalless first half. Just under five minutes after the goal, center referee Duni Joseph blew the final whistle to bring the match to an abrupt end. The early conclusion was made to accommodate a scheduled training session for the Bright Stars, South Sudan’s national team, as they intensify preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers against DR Congo, set to take place at the same venue on September 5, 2025.

The friendly match served as part of Kator FC's ongoing preparations for the upcoming CECAFA Kagame Cup, which kicks off next month.
