League Start Date Shifted

The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has postponed the start of the 2025/2026 Premier League from 21st August to 13th September 2025.

The decision was made during the first meeting of the newly elected Executive Committee, led by President Francis Amin Michael, just hours after he assumed office.

Reason for the Delay

SSFF Secretary General Victor Lawrence Lual said the adjustment allows clubs and national team players sufficient preparation time.

“We want to start the season on solid ground,” Lual emphasized, highlighting the federation’s goal of raising professionalism and organization in South Sudan football.

New Club Requirements

The SSFF has introduced two mandatory requirements for all participating clubs:

  • Each club must have a dedicated medical personnel (doctor or physiotherapist) for the full season.
  • Each club must appoint a Head Coach with at least a CAF C Diploma License, registered before the league begins.

  • Fixtures to Be Released Soon

The Competitions Department will publish an updated fixture list in the coming days. Fans have been assured that the rescheduled season will be more competitive, organized, and professional under the federation’s new leadership.
