JUBA — The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has introduced critical new regulations ahead of the 2025/26 South Sudan Premier League season, signaling a renewed commitment to raising the standard of football across the nation.
At the third Executive Committee meeting of 2025, chaired by SSFF President Francis Amin Michael, key reforms were unanimously approved at the federation’s headquarters in Juba.

🔹 Foreign player cap: Clubs can field no more than five foreign players in their starting lineup, promoting local talent development

🔹 Health and safety: All players must submit mandatory medical clearance forms before the season starts

🔹 Broadcasting rights: The SSFF will take exclusive control over broadcasting and publicity rights, with all deals handled directly by the President, the Investment Committee Chairman, and the Secretary General
The committee also ratified the official 2025/26 league regulations and budget, laying the foundation for a well-organized and financially sustainable season.
