Vipers in Kigali for Pre-Season Friendly Against Azam FC

Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC landed safely in Kigali, Rwanda on Thursday morning, ahead of their international friendly against Tanzania’s Azam FC.

The match, scheduled for Friday at the Kigali Pele Stadium, is part of the Venoms’ build-up for the CAF Champions League preliminary stages.

Vipers will begin their continental campaign against African Stars FC of Namibia, with the first leg away between 19–21 September 2025, before hosting the decisive return leg at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende between 26–28 September.

If successful, they will face either Power Dynamos FC (Zambia) or ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire) in the second preliminary round.
