Atlabara FC Mark Premier League Debut with Dramatic Stoppage-Time Win



Juba, South Sudan – Saturday, September 28, 2025

Newly promoted Atlabara FC announced their arrival in the South Sudan Premier League with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Bentiu City in a Week 2 clash at the Juba National Stadium on Saturday.

Mathias Sebit opened the scoring for the Juba-based side in the 36th minute, giving Atlabara the lead in their top-flight debut. Bentiu City responded in the second half, with Akera Diamonda finding the equalizer in the 69th minute to set up a tense finish.

However, the hosts had the final say. Antipas Akol struck deep into stoppage time, netting the decisive goal in the 90+3 minute to seal all three points for Atlabara.

The win marks a memorable start to Atlabara FC’s campaign, showcasing their intent to compete at the highest level following their promotion.
