First Division side Munuki SC has confirmed the appointment of Coach Kayanga John as the club’s new head coach, signing him on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for a third year.
The club, nicknamed The Snakes, made the announcement on Sunday evening via their official Facebook page, signaling a fresh start as they gear up for the new season.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Coach Kayanga John as the head coach for the Snakes. Coach Kayanga has signed a 2-year contract with the possibility to extend to another year,” read the official statement.
The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.
Coaching Journey: From Kator FC to Munuki SC
Coach Kayanga arrives from Kator FC, a South Sudan Premier League club, where he served as assistant to Nicola Peter Orat. He also previously led Al Tahadi FC, a Third Division side, gaining valuable experience as a head coach.
Now, Kayanga takes over from Khamis Rahal, commonly known as Wilson, who departed to join Premier League outfit Al Ghazala Wau.
A Big Task Ahead
Aside from his club roles, Coach Kayanga is also an instructor at Future Stars Football Academy, a grassroots talent development program.
At Munuki, his mission is clear: win back the Juba First Division title, which the club last lifted in the 2021–2022 season, and push for promotion to the top-tier South Sudan Premier League through the National League.
With expectations high and the club hungry for silverware, all eyes will be on how Kayanga reshapes the squad and leads Munuki SC into a new era of competition.
