FIFA Completes Governance and Funding Workshop with South Sudan Football Federation



Juba, South Sudan — September 4, 2025
FIFA has concluded a two-day capacity-building workshop with the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) Executive Committee, focusing on governance, funding, and project implementation.

The three-day sessions, held in Juba, highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability, and adherence to FIFA regulations in managing football development projects.

FIFA Regional Officer Davis Ndayisinga urged the Federation to activate accountability and anti-corruption bodies, stressing that clear financial practices and strong institutional relationships are essential to gaining FIFA’s full support.

Abigail Hailemichael, FIFA’s Regional Projects Coordinator, reiterated the value of following FIFA directives to ensure the success of ongoing and future projects.

The workshop represents a strategic move toward institutional reform and stronger governance within South Sudanese football, laying the groundwork for sustainable progress.
