Kator FC Eliminated from CECAFA Kagame Cup 2025 After 3-1 Defeat to Al Hilal

Sports Hunter South Sudan | Juba, South Sudan – September 10, 2025

Kator FC Juba have been eliminated from the 2025 CECAFA Kagame Cup following a 3-1 loss to Sudanese giants Al Hilal SC Omdurman in their final Group C match at the KMC Stadium in Tanzania on Wednesday.

The South Sudanese side, nicknamed " Lobera," were hoping for a positive result to stay in contention, but Al Hilal's attacking firepower proved too much.

Cole Kindness opened the scoring for Al Hilal in the 11th minute, but Kator responded almost immediately, equalizing just a minute later in the 12th.

However, the momentum quickly swung back in Al Hilal’s favor, as Sunday Damilare and Akire Temple struck in the 16th and 18th minutes respectively to restore and extend the lead, sealing the win for the "Blue Wave."

The result handed Kator FC their first defeat of the tournament and confirmed their elimination, finishing bottom of Group C with just two points from two draws.

Meanwhile, Al Hilal secured their place in the semi-finals with the victory.
