Kenya Police FC Crush Garde Cotes FC 4-0 in Kagame Cup Group A Opener

Kenya Police FC made a powerful statement in their opening match of the CECAFA Kagame Cup 2025, securing a commanding 4-0 victory over Garde Cotes FC of Djibouti in Group A action on Tuesday.

The match, played at the General Isamuhyo Stadium in Tanzania, saw the Kenyan side dominate from start to finish.

Midfielder Eric Zakayo gave Kenya Police the lead in the 19th minute, capitalizing on early pressure. David Simiyu doubled the advantage in the 34th minute, giving the Kenyans a comfortable cushion at halftime.

In the second half, Baraka Badi added a third in the 65th minute before Edward Omondi struck just two minutes later (67’) to complete the rout.

The result puts Kenya Police FC top of Group A with three points and a healthy goal difference, giving them a strong start in their quest for regional glory.

The Kagame Cup continues this week, with clubs from across East and Central Africa competing for one of the region’s most prestigious football titles.
