LFA Presents Championship Cash Prize to FC Fassell



Sports Hunter South Sudan |Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has officially awarded a cash prize of US$20,000 to FC Fassell, winners of the 2024/25 LFA First Division League.

The prize presentation took place on Friday, September 12 at the LFA headquarters in Congo Town. FC Fassell was represented by its Vice President for Administration, Newton Campbell, during the brief but significant ceremony.

As part of ongoing efforts to improve the domestic game, the LFA has announced that the championship prize will increase to US$30,000 starting from the 2025/26 season. This move underscores the association’s commitment to raising the competitive and financial standards of Liberian football.

FC Fassell’s triumph also earns them the honor of representing Liberia in the CAF Champions League, which kicks off later this September. The club will carry the nation’s hopes on the continental stage as they compete against some of Africa’s best.

The LFA reaffirmed its continued dedication to supporting clubs across all levels, aiming to elevate football development throughout the country.
