Zal Zal FC Secretary Joseph Clement Steps In as Coach, Reflects on 2-1 Loss to Gudele FC

Juba – In the absence of a head coach, Zal Zal FC Secretary Joseph Clement stood on the touchline to guide the team during their 2-1 defeat to Gudele FC in Week 2 of the Konyokonyo League on Saturday.

Speaking after the match, Clement expressed satisfaction with the team's overall performance despite the loss.

“During the game, my team was performing well, but we were unable to score due to a few mistakes,” he said. “Gudele managed to take their chance and won the game, but our performance was very good.”

Clement added that ZalZal FC created numerous chances but lacked composure in front of goal.

“We missed a lot of opportunities. If we had converted even a few of them, we could have beaten Gudele by a big margin. They played, but couldn’t dominate — it’s just those small mistakes that cost us.”

While stepping in as acting coach was not planned, Clement praised the players’ effort and hinted at areas the team will work on ahead of their next match.
