SSFF Leadership Attends 47th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Kinshasa
The President of the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), Francis Amin Michael, alongside Second Vice President Deng Abdelrahman, participated in the 47th CAF Ordinary General Assembly held on Monday in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday.
The assembly brought together the most influential figures in African football, including presidents from CAF’s 54 Member Associations, representatives from the six Zonal Unions, and senior football officials from across the continent.
CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe chaired the meeting, which focused on key achievements and the future direction of African football.
Among the major highlights discussed were:
Generating USD 1 Billion in revenue for African football over the next eight years.
Expanding youth and women’s football development programs across the continent.
Providing USD 100,000 in financial support for clubs eliminated in the preliminary rounds of CAF Interclub competitions.
Dr. Motsepe, speaking during the opening ceremony, reiterated CAF's commitment to strengthening national federations and emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in driving the continent’s football agenda forward.
The assembly also included a forward-looking presentation based on the CAF Activity Report and Africa’s Football Growth Agenda, reinforcing CAF’s strategic vision for the sport’s development across all levels.
