FIFA Football for Schools Workshop Concludes in Mogadishu

Today in Mogadishu, Hotel Jazeera hosted the culmination of a two-day FIFA Football for Schools workshop, bringing together 50 teachers—both men and women—from across Somalia.

The workshop was organized under the guidance of Mr. Ali Abdi Mohamed (Ali Shiine), Chairman of the Somali Football Federation, with support from Vice Chairman Mr. Ahmed Farah Taqal, executive committee members Abukar Islaw Hassan and Fahma Kulle Ali, and General Secretary Dr. Yusuf Muhudin Ahmed.

Training was delivered by FIFA experts Melvin Mendy, Football Development Officer, and Antonio Buenaño, Football for Schools Manager.

The program aims to enhance teachers’ knowledge of the FIFA Football for Schools initiative, a global program designed to promote both education and sport for children, ensuring holistic development through football.
