Qalb Al Asad March Into Third Round of South Sudan Cup



Melut, South Sudan — Qalb Al Asad booked their place in the third round of the 2025–2026 South Sudan Cup under the Melut Football Association after securing a solid 2–0 victory over Tahrir FC in Second Round Match at the Salam Playground.

Reng Nyok broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, while Gout Maker doubled the lead early in the second half with a composed finish in the 52nd minute, sealing a deserved win for the Lions.

Qalb Al Asad will now await the winner of Jeel vs Timsah, scheduled for tomorrow, to determine their third-round opponent.

The session was conducted under the guidance of Assistant Coach Simon James and Fitness Coach Brin George, with players from the South Sudan Premier League taking part. The foreign-based players, alongside Head Coach Nicolas Dupuis, are expected to join the squad in the coming days.
