South Sudan – 3rd Republican Athletics Championship



Eastern Equatoria State has claimed its first gold medal of the championship, thanks to a brilliant performance by Dominic Oyiro, representing Team Torit.

Oyiro dominated the men’s 10,000m race, outpacing the field with a strong final push to secure victory in a time of 32:23.36 at the 3rd Republican Athletics Championship in South Sudan.

The win marks a major milestone for Eastern Equatoria’s athletics program as calls continue to grow for the sport to be elevated as one of South Sudan’s premier “golden games.”
