South Sudan Senior Men’s Team Continue Preparations Ahead of FIFA Arab League Clash with Syria

The South Sudan senior men’s national football team continued their preparations on Monday evening at the Juba National Stadium ahead of next week’s FIFA Arab League preliminary round match against Syria.

The session was attended by SSFF President Francis Amin Michael, First Vice President Makur Majok, and members of the Executive Committee, who observed the team’s evening training.

Despite the SSFF announcing on their official Facebook page that head coach Nicolas Dupuis had summoned a 23-man squad, Dupuis was notably absent from Monday’s session.

The team is currently being guided by assistant coach Simon James, while the SSFF has yet to provide any explanation regarding the head coach’s absence.

South Sudan now faces a critical week as they prepare for a challenging opener against the Syrian side.
