Uganda Crush Sudan 9–0 to Reach Semi-Finals With One Group Match Left in CECAFA U17 Championship



Uganda marched into the semi-finals of the CECAFA U17 Championship in Ethiopia after a commanding 9–0 victory over Sudan in their Group B encounter, maintaining a perfect record with one match still to play in the group stages.

Coming off a strong 4–0 win over Burundi in their opener, Uganda once again showcased their firepower. 

Owen Mukisa struck twice early in the 10th and 13th minutes, before Tomas Ogema made it 3–0 just before halftime (42'). 

Eze Kombi added a fourth in the 56th minute, opening the door for a second-half goal rush from Brian Olwa (69'), Enock Mwesigwa (74'), Fahad Ismail (79'), Abdulshakur Babi (82'), and Arnold Kayemba (90').

With two convincing victories and a combined scoreline of 13–0, Uganda seal their place in the semi-finals and head into their final group match full of confidence.

Bright Stars Begin Preparations for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers
