Uganda Sweep Aside Burundi with 4–0 Opening-Day Win



Uganda made a flying start to their TotalEnergies U17 AFCON qualifying campaign, defeating Burundi 4–0 in a one-sided Group B encounter.

Thomas Ogema set the tone early with goals in the 11th and 28th minutes, giving the Young Cranes full control.
Their momentum continued as Owen Mukisa struck twice—31st and 41st minutes—to complete a decisive first-half performance.

The victory places Uganda level with Tanzania at the top of Group B after a dominant Matchday 1 showing.
