 SSFF Conducts U-17 Girls Cup Draw in Juba


Juba, South Sudan - 12th March 2026 - The draw for the U-17 Girls Cup 2025/2026 has been conducted at the South Sudan Football Federation Headquarters in Juba, confirming the groups for the youth tournament that will feature 16 girls’ football academies.

Group A
1. Venus International Football Academy
2. Hai Baraka Football Academy
3. Joppa Stars Football
4. Hyper Football Academy

Group B
1. Blue Wave Football Academy
2. Premious Football Academy
3. Juba City Football Academy
4. Maluth Stars Football Academy

Group C
1. Eloi Nursery & Primary School Football Academy
2. Victorious Future Girls Football Academy
3. Lions of Africa Football Academy
4. Everest Height Football Academy

Group D
1. Jamus Football Academy
2. Jebel Star Football Academy
3. Eden Football Academy
4. Munuki Football Academy

The tournament will kick off on 17 March 2026, with the opening match between Venus International Football Academy and Hai Baraka Football Academy. The venue is yet to be confirmed, with matches expected to be played either at the Bulluk Playground or the Juba National Stadium.

Competition Format

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, which will be played in a knockout format, followed by the semi-finals and the final.

Free of charge for all participating academies.

🥈 Runner-up: Silver medals and $300
🥉 Third place: Bronze medals and $200

The tournament is aimed at identifying talented players for the South Sudan Women’s U-17 National Team, while strengthening youth development and creating more opportunities for young female footballers in the country.

Bright Stars Begin Preparations for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

The session was conducted under the guidance of Assistant Coach Simon James and Fitness Coach Brin George, with players from the South Sudan Premier League taking part. Merriekh SC Bentiu Set for Maiden CECAFA Kagame Cup Appearance

By: Emmanuel Patrick Laku - Juba, South Sudan – El Merriekh SC Bentiu will make their first-ever appearance in the CECAFA Kagame Cup 2025, scheduled for September 2–15 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with the draw set for August 26th. The South Sudan Premier League club was nominated by the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) after Kator FC turned down an invitation to participate in the tournament.  This development followed CAF’s decision to reject Kator from representing the country in the CAF Confederation Cup. El Merriekh’s involvement in the Kagame Cup is seen as a crucial preparation for their upcoming campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup, where they will represent South Sudan at continental level.  The tournament will give the Bentiu-based side exposure to regional competition and help them build the experience needed for the challenges ahead.
