Juba, South Sudan 3rd April 2026 — Adim & Family Investment Company Limited has issued a public apology to football fans and Munuki Women’s FC following its decision to withdraw a previously announced donation to the club.

In an official statement, the company admitted that its initial commitment to support the team was made in good faith after receiving what it believed to be a legitimate request. However, the process lacked thorough verification.

“We received an official letter from ‘Munuki Women’s FC’ seeking assistance, which we took positively without a thorough review,” the statement read.

Following internal reassessment, the company opted to retrieve the donation, emphasizing that the move was necessary to safeguard its relationship with the club. Despite the incident, Adim & Family Investment Company Limited expressed confidence in maintaining a positive relationship with Munuki Women’s FC moving forward.

The development has also led to a broader policy shift. The company confirmed it will immediately step back from all sports-related sponsorships, particularly football.

“The company will refrain from all donations aimed at supporting sports, especially football, with immediate effect. This decision is taken to allow the company to focus more on other profitable ventures,” the statement added.

The decision, effective March 3, 2026, represents a significant moment for local football, especially within the women’s game, where financial support remains limited.

The withdrawal raises fresh concerns about sustainability and corporate backing in South Sudan’s growing football ecosystem, as stakeholders continue to push for increased investment in the sport.
