By: Sports Hunter South Sudan: Morocco women's national football team were held to a 1-1 draw by Mali women's national football team in an international friendly at Moulay Hassan Stadium, as both sides continue fine-tuning ahead of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

Mali struck first just before the break, with Aïcha Traoré finding the net in the 45th minute to give the visitors a surprise lead. The Atlas Lionesses responded in the second half, as Imane Jraidi leveled the score in the 61st minute.

Morocco had entered the clash in strong form, having secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Tanzania women's national football team just days earlier. The series of friendlies forms part of their build-up to hosting the continental showpiece, where expectations remain high on home soil.

For Mali, the result marks a confidence-boosting performance against one of Africa’s top-ranked sides, offering momentum as they continue preparations for the upcoming tournament.
