By: Sports Hunter South Sudan- 16th April 2026 - The (FEMAFOOT) has officially elected a new president following the conclusion of its Extraordinary Elective General Assembly in Bamako.

Baba Cisse emerged as the new head of Malian football, securing a dominant 69 votes, with just one vote against and two abstentions, accounting for 95.83% approval.

The vote, held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, featured a single validated list, underlining a unified electoral process.

Cissé takes over from Mamoutou Toure marking the beginning of a new chapter for the federation after what has been described as a calm, transparent, and well-supervised election.

The process was conducted under the watch of representatives from ,FIFA , CAF and , UFOA zone A ensuring full compliance with international governance standards.

A decisive mandate, and a clear signal of stability as Malian football looks ahead.
