Juba, South Sudan - 2nd April 2026 - Feature Stars Football Academy have hailed Munuki SC’s remarkable campaign in the Juba Football Association 1st Division League, delivering their congratulatory message in a Facebook post on their official page just hours after the “Snakes” secured the title on Wednesday evening.
In an inspiring statement, the academy praised their coaches—Kayanga John and Isaac Wani—who also lead Munuki SC, for building a disciplined and determined team capable of delivering under pressure.
“Coaches work hard and you’ll achieve. Don’t wait for a ready team to make victory. It takes effort and patience to achieve goals.”
Champions Without Kicking a Ball
Munuki SC have mathematically secured the league title, although they are yet to be officially presented with the trophy.
Their triumph was confirmed before stepping onto the pitch, as results elsewhere sealed the outcome of the title race.
Rivals Falter at Crucial Stage
Second-placed Rainbow FC saw their challenge collapse at a decisive moment. A draw against Gudele was followed by successive defeats to Bajur and Al Huriya.
The 2–1 loss to Al Huriya ultimately confirmed Munuki’s coronation, leaving Rainbow on 44 points with 5 matches remaining—far behind Munuki’s 62 points, with three games still to play.
Milestone for the Coaching Duo
The title marks a first league triumph for head coach Kayanga John and a major early achievement for assistant Isaac Wani, who only began his coaching career last year after completing a CAF D license course.
A Growing Legacy
This success represents Munuki SC’s second league crown, adding to their 2021–2022 triumph that ended a 34-year wait for silverware.
Eyes on the National Stage
Munuki SC now turn their focus to the South Sudan National League, where they will compete in the final qualifying round for promotion to the South Sudan Premier League.
