Rwanda U-17 Arrive in Ndola for Decisive World Cup Qualifier
The Rwanda U-17 women’s national team has completed its arrival in Ndola ahead of their crucial FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026 qualifier against Zambia.
The first contingent, consisting of 12 players alongside the head coach and members of the technical staff, landed at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport at 11:50 hours via Ethiopian Airlines.
The remaining members of the delegation arrived later in the evening, with the full squad now assembled in Zambia.
In total, 33 members of the Rwandan delegation are on the ground as preparations intensify for the decisive second-leg encounter.
The match will be played on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 hours.
Rwanda head into the tie trailing 2-0 from the first leg in Kigali, leaving them with a tough challenge against a confident Zambian side on home soil.
The delegation was received by FAZ Head of Competitions Loreen Mulomba upon arrival.
Meanwhile, tickets for the encounter are already on sale via the TechPay online platform, with FAZ urging supporters to embrace digital ticketing ahead of the fixture.
FAZ Head of Media and Communications Nkweto Tembwe emphasized the importance of the system, stating that it ensures a safer and more seamless experience for fans.
He also confirmed that while physical tickets will be available, no sales will be conducted at the stadium in line with CAF and FIFA regulations.
