Amarat United fall to league leaders Atlabara FC

JUBA LOCAL LEAGUE | WEEK 23

12th April 2025

Amarat United suffered their 8th defeat of the 2024/2025 Juba Local League—also known as the Konyokonyo League—after going down 2-1 to league leaders Atlabara FC at Bulluk Playground on Saturday, 12th April 2025.

The setback temporarily places the 2019 South Sudan Cup champions in 4th position with 33 points, just one point ahead of 5th-placed Viva Stars, who still have a game in hand.

Despite the defeat, Amarat United have shown clear progress this season:

Wins: 10 (Already two more than last season's 8)

Goals Scored: 38 (10 more than their 2023/24 total of 28 in 24 games)

Goals Conceded: 33 (Same as last season in fewer games – 21 played so far)

Their attack has been a standout this campaign and is largely responsible for lifting them from 8th place last season to 4th with three games left to play.

Still in the fight for a top-three finish!
