Atlabara FC were officially crowned champions of the Juba Local Football Association 1st Division League on Sunday, 18th May 2025, receiving their trophy after a 2-2 ceremonial match against Al Huriya FC at Bulluk Playground.

History and pride were on full display at Bulluk Playground in Juba as Atlabara FC were handed the JLFA 1st Division League trophy, bringing the curtain down on an outstanding 2024/2025 season.

The "African Atlabara" sealed the championship with a total of 56 points, just two points ahead of title challengers Munuki SC.

The trophy presentation came after a lively 2-2 ceremonial draw against second division champions Al Huriya FC, symbolizing unity between the two title-winning sides.

Atlabara’s campaign was marked by consistency and attacking flair. Across 24 matches, the team secured 17 wins, 5 draws, and suffered only 2 defeats.

Their front line, led by red-hot striker Keer Managar, tore through defences with 70 goals, while conceding just 25. Managar himself walked away with the league’s golden boot after scoring 25 goals, while Mathias Sebit won the best player of the season.

The championship was guided under two coaches, starting with Peter Akon and concluded by Bilal Felix, who took over in the second half of the season and steered the team to glory.

More challenges lie ahead as Atlabara FC now represents JLFA in the ongoing South Sudan National League — the final qualification stage for the South Sudan Premier League.

The top two teams from the National League will qualify for the second edition of the Premier League.

Atlabara FC’s title win and trophy lift reaffirm their status as one of South Sudan’s football powerhouses, with eyes now firmly set on national success.
