SSFF Launches FIFA Connect System in Landmark Digital Overhaul for South Sudan Football

JUBA, South Sudan – The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has approved a major digital transformation in player registration with the introduction of the FIFA Connect Transfer Matching System for Premier League clubs.

The decision was taken during an Executive Committee meeting held on Saturday, May 30, at the federation headquarters in Juba, chaired by SSFF President Francis Amin Michael.

SSFF Secretary General Bak Athian Bak confirmed that the General Secretariat will organize a specialized workshop to train Premier League clubs on the new system, marking the first time South Sudanese clubs will be fully integrated into FIFA’s global player registration platform.

The FIFA Connect system is widely used internationally to manage player transfers and registrations, and its introduction is expected to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability within South Sudanese football administration.

“The General Secretariat will organize a special workshop for Premier League clubs to introduce all players into the FIFA Connect TMS system for the first time,” SSFF Secretary General Bak Athian Bak confirmed.

As part of the wider reforms, the federation also announced that regulations governing the registration of minor players will be made available at SSFF headquarters starting this weekend.

The SSFF says the digital shift forms part of broader efforts to modernize football governance and align domestic operations with international standards as the new season approaches.
