Promising 17-year-old forward Lino Lul Johnson is on the verge of signing for El Merreikh Bentiu Youth Team, with negotiations understood to be at an advanced stage.
Lino is a quick and clinical attacker, known for his blistering pace, intelligent movement, and natural goal-scoring ability. His impressive qualities have attracted interest from several clubs, but his family has expressed a preference for a move to El Merreikh Bentiu.
Speaking to Sports Hunter South Sudan, Lino's brother, Tello Duol Johnson, confirmed that talks are progressing well.
"Many clubs have shown interest in signing Lino, but as a family we prefer El Merreikh Bentiu. He is maintaining his fitness by playing in the Payam League in Juba while we finalize the move," Tello Duol Johnson told Sports Hunter South Sudan.
Currently playing in the Payam League in Juba to stay match-fit, the 17-year-old forward is preparing for what could be the next important chapter in his football career with El Merreikh Bentiu's youth team.
