Juba - South Sudan Premier League runners-up Jamus SC have confirmed that they will depart for Rwanda on July 17 ahead of the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup.

The Buffaloes announced the travel plans on Wednesday morning through their official Facebook page, stating:

"Our upcoming journey will be to Rwanda on July 17th for CECAFA Tournament."

Jamus SC secured the opportunity to represent South Sudan in the regional competition following a decision by the South Sudan Football Federation Executive Committee on May 30, 2026. The Juba based club earned the slot after finishing second in the South Sudan Premier League and reaching the semi-finals of the South Sudan Cup.

The upcoming tournament will mark another important chapter in Jamus SC's growing presence on the regional stage. The Buffaloes previously featured in the 2024 Mapinduzi Cup in Zanzibar, where they gained valuable experience against some of East Africa's top clubs, including Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC.

With lessons learned from their previous regional campaign, Jamus SC will be aiming to make a stronger impression at the CECAFA Kagame Cup and proudly represent South Sudan against the best clubs from East and Central Africa.

The CECAFA Kagame Cup remains one of the region's most prestigious club competitions, offering Jamus SC a platform to test themselves against elite opposition and further raise the profile of South Sudanese football beyond the country's borders.
