Coach Martin Ofio Isaac apologizes after Mura-Lopit MFA group stage exit
Coach Martin Ofio Isaac has issued a public apology to the Mura-Lopit community following the team’s early exit from the Monyie-Miji Football Tournament group stages.
He acknowledged the disappointment and took full responsibility alongside his players and management, noting that the results fell below expectations.
The coach cited several challenges during the campaign, including difficult match situations in their opening game against Bira United at Juba One Playing Ground, which he said affected team morale. However, he emphasized that the focus must remain on improvement rather than excuses.
Despite the setback, the coach praised the team’s structure and ongoing development, stressing that the management is working to strengthen player confidence and build a stronger identity that reflects the community’s motto: “The Pride of Lopit.”
He called on fans and the wider community to remain supportive and united behind the team.
“I am a new coach and I said from the beginning that I will reorganize and strategize this team for the next four years to compete for the MFA trophy,” he said, expressing confidence in long-term progress.
Coach Isaac concluded by reaffirming belief in the squad’s future, insisting that “better days are ahead” and thanking supporters for their continued commitment.
