El Merriekh SC Extend Contract of South Sudan International Defender Pal Paul Pouk

South Sudan Premier League and Cup champions El Merriekh SC Bentiu have announced a one-year contract extension for South Sudan international defender Pal Paul Pouk, keeping him at the club until 2027.

The former Munuki SC defender has become a vital part of El Merriekh's backline and played a key role in the club's domestic double-winning campaign.

The Bentiu-based club confirmed the extension through its official Facebook page on Tuesday.

"Triple P isn’t going anywhere — he’s here to stay! Pal Paul Pouk extends his contract with The Pride of Bentiu until 2027. Our backline’s best defender remains locked in."

Pouk's renewal represents another important piece of business for El Merriekh as they look to maintain the core of the squad that captured both the South Sudan Premier League and South Sudan Cup titles.

The reigning champions are expected to intensify preparations in the coming weeks ahead of their participation in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League, where they will represent South Sudan on the continental stage.
