Bahati Kizanguzo produced a five-star performance, scoring in the 8th, 18th, 52nd (penalty), 60th and 68th minutes as Tanzania cruised to a commanding 10-0 victory over Sudan in the CECAFA U-17 Girls Championship at the Azam Complex.

Harrier Juma chipped in with a hat-trick (4', 80', 86'), while Milembe John (38') and Sunday Masasila (42') also got on the scoresheet as the hosts delivered a ruthless attacking display.

The selected players are set to begin training next week in preparation for a critical double-header against DR Congo and Mauritania. South Sudan former interim head coach Cyprian Ashu believes the Bright Stars can challenge for qualification in Group B of the TotalEnergies AFCON 2027 qualifiers despite being drawn against Egypt, Angola and Malawi.
