JUBA, South Sudan, June 16, 2026 — Jamus SC President Mohanad Ahmed has announced ambitious plans for the club to build its own stadium in Luri, with the project expected to be completed within the next nine months.
The announcement was made on June 16, 2026, during a press conference at the Imperial Plaza Hotel in Juba, where the club's Board of Directors officially unveiled new head coach and the club's new technical team. The Tunisian tactician signed a two-year contract with the South Sudan Premier League side.
According to the club president, the groundbreaking ceremony for the stadium is scheduled to take place within the next 10 days, marking a significant milestone in the club's development journey.
The modern sports complex will feature a range of facilities designed to support both professional and youth development. These include an academy sports facility, a basketball arena, a swimming pool, a football academy school, and a hotel that will accommodate players and the technical team during training camps and competitions.
Speaking about the club's long-term vision, Mohanad Ahmed emphasized his desire to transform Jamus SC into one of the biggest and most successful football clubs in Africa, not only in South Sudan. He highlighted the club's commitment to investing in local talent by signing and developing more South Sudanese players.
"Our goal is to build a strong future for both Jamus SC and the South Sudan national team by nurturing local talent and providing world-class facilities," Ahmed said.
The planned stadium and sports complex are expected to play a key role in elevating the club's standards and contributing to the growth of sports development in South Sudan.
If completed as planned, the project will become one of the most significant sports infrastructure developments in the country and a major step toward Jamus SC's vision of becoming a regional football powerhouse.
