KIGALI, Rwanda — South Sudan Premier League runners-up Jamus SC have received a major boost ahead of the CECAFA Kagame Cup after newly signed Cameroonian duo Etame Florian Steve and Njoya Mbohou Adamou joined the club's pre-season camp in Rwanda.
The attacking midfielder and striker arrived at the team's camp on Wednesday night at around 11:00 p.m. after travelling directly from Cameroon.
The pair were joined with fellow Cameroonians Thomas and George Rodriguez, who are already established members of the Jamus SC squad and also arrived in camp from Cameroon.
The Buffaloes travelled to Rwanda on wednesday for a pre-season training camp and are currently based at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel as they prepare for next month's CECAFA Kagame Cup.
Jamus SC were selected by the South Sudan Football Federation to represent the country in the regional competition after missing out on qualification for the CAF interclub tournaments.
The club endured a disappointing end to the 2025/26 season, finishing second in the South Sudan Premier League behind El Merriekh SC Bentiu. Jamus SC also lost the South Sudan Super Cup to El Merriekh and were eliminated by the Bentiu-based side in the semi-finals of the South Sudan Cup.
The arrival of Etame Florian Steve and Njoya Mbohou Adamou is expected to strengthen Jamus SC's attacking options as the club targets a strong campaign in the CECAFA Kagame Cup.
