Juba Queens Complete Double Signing


Juba Queens have announced the signings of winger Rebecca Ayen John and goalkeeper Mercy Sharon Vicky on long-term contracts.

Ayen John, formerly of Rabita Queens, joins on a deal valid until June 2030, bringing pace and attacking flair to the squad.

Goalkeeper Mercy Vicky arrives from Bukedea Comprehensive School on a four-year deal, becoming the club’s first signing in that position this window.

The club says both players are key additions as they build for the upcoming season.

South Sudan former interim head coach Cyprian Ashu believes the Bright Stars can challenge for qualification in Group B of the TotalEnergies AFCON 2027 qualifiers despite being drawn against Egypt, Angola and Malawi. Ashu, who was appointed as interim coach on March 12, 2026, in his second spell with the Bright Stars, successfully guided South Sudan past Djibouti in the preliminary round to secure a place in the group stages.
