Juba Queens FC Unveil Nyakuoth Lony Thicot as Club President

JUBA — Juba Queens FC have officially appointed Mrs. Nyakuoth Lony Thicot as the club's president, the newly established women's side announced on Tuesday morning.
In a statement released through the club's official channels, Juba Queens said the appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter as the club seeks to become a leading force in women's football in South Sudan.
"We are proud to officially unveil Mrs. Nyakuoth Lony Thicot as the Club President," the club said.
"With a bold vision to empower girls through football, develop young talent, and build a sustainable pathway for women's football in South Sudan, Mrs. Nyakuoth is committed to making Juba Queens FC a model of excellence both on and off the pitch."
The club added that its new president aims to position Juba Queens among the continent's leading women's football institutions.
"Her vision is to establish Juba Queens FC as the leading force in women's football, inspiring the next generation of female footballers and elevating South Sudan onto the continental and global stage," the statement continued.
Juba Queens also outlined the club president's mission, emphasizing player development and long-term sustainability.

The appointment comes as Juba Queens FC continues to strengthen its administrative structures ahead of its expected participation in the Juba women's football competitions following the club's ongoing registration process.
