Juba Queens Sign South Sudan Midfielder Mariam Luis on Four-Year Deal

Newly established South Sudan women's football club Juba Queens have announced the signing of national team midfielder Mariam Luis Johnson on a four-year contract.

The Juba-based club confirmed the move through its official Facebook page on Wednesday evening.

"We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Mariam Luis Johnson until 2030. Mariam brings a variety of experience on and off the pitch, and we are pleased to have her in our project," the club said in a statement.

Mariam joins Juba Queens following the expiration of her contract with Yei Joint Stars FC, where she enjoyed success and helped the club win the South Sudan Women's Cup, among other trophies.

Known as the "Super Queens," Yei Joint Stars have been one of the leading teams in South Sudan women's football.

The midfielder's arrival is expected to strengthen Juba Queens as the club continues building its squad ahead of  their debut compaign.
