South Sudan Premier League and Cup double winners El Merriekh SC have confirmed the extension of captain Chol Peter Bentiu’s contract until 2027.

The announcement was made on Tuesday morning via the club’s official channels, with the Bentiu-based side celebrating their skipper’s continued commitment.

“The Pride of Bentiu Capitano is here to stay! We are delighted to announce that Chol Peter Bentiu has extended his contract until 2027.

Since joining El Merriekh SC from Kator FC and Al-Huriya FC, the South Sudan national team midfielder has grown into a key figure for the reigning champions, earning the captain’s armband through his consistency, leadership, and tactical versatility.

His extension is seen as a major boost for the club as they prepare to defend their domestic dominance and compete in upcoming regional competitions.
