Munuki SC Women have announced the signing of South Sudan national team defender Peace Oleyo on a three-year contract. The Juba based club confirmed the arrival of the centre-back on Friday via its official Facebook page as it continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.


"We are also delighted to confirm another new signing, a centre-back and a national team player by the name Peace Oleyo, on a three-year contract. Welcome to the Snakes family 🐍."

 The experienced defender becomes the latest addition to the Munuki SC ranks, bringing national team experience to the club's backline.

South Sudan former interim head coach Cyprian Ashu believes the Bright Stars can challenge for qualification in Group B of the TotalEnergies AFCON 2027 qualifiers despite being drawn against Egypt, Angola and Malawi. Ashu, who was appointed as interim coach on March 12, 2026, in his second spell with the Bright Stars, successfully guided South Sudan past Djibouti in the preliminary round to secure a place in the group stages.
