South Sudan Hit Djibouti for Six to Seal CECAFA U-17 Girls Qualification
South Sudan secured qualification for the next stage of the CECAFA U-17 Girls Championship with a resounding 6-0 victory over Djibouti on Monday at the Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Junior Starlets took control early through Amou Saber, who opened the scoring in the 6th minute before adding her second of the match in the 38th minute. Marlin Yugu also found the net in the first half to put South Sudan firmly in command before the break.
Hellen Apiaha extended the lead five minutes into the second half, while Ajak Gau rounded off an impressive performance with two late goals in the 90th and 90+1st minutes.

The emphatic win guarantees South Sudan a place in the next round after collecting six points from their opening two Group B matches.

The winner of the clash will finish top of Group B and head into the knockout stage with momentum in the regional championship.
