South Sudan Suffer Second Straight Defeat at CAVB Zone V Qualifiers

 


KAMPALA, Uganda — South Sudan's men's national volleyball team endured a second consecutive defeat at the CAVB Zone V Nations Championship Qualifiers, falling 3-0 to Burundi on Wednesday at Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala.

The Bright Stars entered the match looking to bounce back from their opening 3-0 loss to hosts Uganda but were unable to halt Burundi's momentum, as the East Africans secured victory in straight sets.

Despite the result, South Sudan showed determination throughout the contest, producing several competitive exchanges and moments of quality against a disciplined Burundi side.

The defeat leaves South Sudan seeking its first win of the tournament as the team prepares for its remaining fixtures in the regional championship.
