South Sudan Volleyball Federation Issues Message After Zone V Qualifiers Exit
The South Sudan Volleyball Federation (SSVF) has thanked players, officials, and supporters following the conclusion of the 2026 CAVB Zone V Nations Qualifiers at the MTN Arena Lugogo in Kampala, Uganda.
In a statement released after both the men's and women's national teams completed their campaigns, the federation acknowledged that the results fell short of expectations but emphasized the importance of learning from the experience.
The federation expressed appreciation to its delegation, coaches, players, and supporters, particularly members of the South Sudanese community in Kampala, for their unwavering support throughout the tournament.
SSVF also highlighted the significance of the competition for the women's team, which was making its first appearance at the Zone V Qualifiers, while the men's team was participating for the third time. Despite failing to secure the desired results, the federation praised the commitment and determination shown by both squads.
The statement further called on fans not to criticize the federation, noting the extensive efforts made to ensure both national teams traveled to Uganda and competed on the regional stage.
"Sport always produces winners and losers. While the outcome was not what we hoped for, the experience gained will be valuable for the future. We will learn from this campaign, work harder, and return stronger," the federation said.
South Sudan now turns its attention to future competitions as it continues to develop volleyball in the country and build competitive national teams capable of challenging at the regional level.
