South Sudan Women Fall to Burundi in Straight Sets at CAVB Zone V Qualifiers

KAMPALA, Uganda — South Sudan’s women’s national volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Burundi at the CAVB Zone V Nations Championship Qualifiers on Wednesday at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The Bright Stars were unable to overcome a well-organised Burundian side, which secured victory in straight sets to continue its strong campaign in the regional competition.

Despite the result, South Sudan displayed determination and resilience throughout the match, competing for every point and producing several entertaining exchanges against their East African opponents.

The defeat followed a similar outcome for South Sudan’s men’s national team, which also lost 3-0 to Burundi earlier in the day.

South Sudan will now shift focus to its remaining fixtures as both teams look to recover and keep their hopes alive in the tournament. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ธ
